Strictly theme co-composer and Procol Harum organist Josh Philips has joined forces with producer Paul Mitchell and legendary music manager Ian Grant to create a new, original track to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s, and encourage people living with the condition to keep using their voices, and raise awareness of the urgent need for a cure.

With performances from Leo Sayer, John Illsley (Dire Straits), Marcella Detroit (Shakespears Sister), Stuart Elliott (Cockney Rebel, Kate Bush) and backing from a full gospel choir (The Jordan family gospel group), it is a foot-stomping, rousing, soulful, pop-rock track complete with a chorus that you can’t help but sing along to.

THINK LOUD is now available to purchase on iTunes and Amazon, with all download proceeds being split between Cure Parkinson’s and the Parkinson’s Foundation in the US.

The group have set up a JustGiving page for those who would like to donate to Cure Parkinson’s.

If you have been inspired by the track might record a clip of yourself singing along and post it on social media using the hashtag #ThinkLoud4PD. You could even get your friends and family to sponsor you!

I am more than pleased that I have been able to get Josh and Paul on board to compose a dedicated song with me. And in time for World Parkinson’s Month in April, putting the spotlight on Cure Parkinson’s and indeed, with thanks for the introduction from John Caulcutt. I am a THINK LOUD patient and know the importance of talking loud to support and repair speech for those with Parkinson’s and I thank Pip Steers and her team for all their help.”

Ian Grant (former manager of The Stranglers, Big Country, The Cult, Elizabeth McGovern and many more)
