Paul Mayhew-Archer MBE
Perhaps best known for his work on the much-loved comedy ‘The Vicar of Dibley’, Paul Mayhew-Archer is a multi-award winning writer, script editor, radio producer and comedian. Since his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2011, Paul has turned his talents towards raising awareness of the condition while doing what he does best – making people laugh. Since becoming a patron in 2020, Paul has been an incredible support to Cure Parkinson’s. He presented our hugely successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal, delighted virtual audiences with his stand-up comedy, voiced our Christmas Appeal video, and even raised funds in an amusing pasta-eating challenge with his baby grandson. Needless to say, his grandson won.
