Cure Parkinson’s Fundraising Heroes: January 2026
Our supporters ran, rowed, and rounded up a year of fundraising activities for us.
52 miles in a month
At the end of 2025, supporters Julie and Sophie (and their dogs) decided to run 52 miles in a month to raise funds and awareness for us. Battling the bitter winter weather and scheduling their runs around Christmas festivities and commitments, they laced up their trainers to raise over £1,100!

A tee-rrific end to golf club’s year of fundraising
Supporter Cathy chose Cure Parkinson’s to be her local golf club’s Charity of the Year for 2025 after a dear friend was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and raised a phenomenal £17,280.
Fundraising for a cause close to her heart, Cathy was keen to get started and kicked off her year of fundraising events with a bridge drive, followed by an afternoon tea, a Lady Captain’s Day, a Gala Day, and a formal dinner.
Her golf club community came together to help make the fundraising a real success, and members also got stuck in with the logistics of the fundraising activities by baking delicious cakes for the afternoon teas and donating wonderful items for the raffles.

World’s Toughest Row
Two novice rowing teams – the Southsea Scullers and Team Seas Life – completed the World’s Toughest Row in January for numerous charities, including Cure Parkinson’s.
Setting off on the 3,000 mile adventure in December, the two teams rowed across the Atlantic ocean from San Sebastian de La Gomera, Canary Islands to Nelson’s Dockyard, Antigua. The South Sea Scullers (Adam, Henry and Sam) spent 35 days at sea and won the Trio Class, with Team Seas Life (Tom, Julien, Ollie and Stuart) spending 38 days rowing.
