Our 2025 Autumn Research Update Meeting took place at THE Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), Wimpole Street, London, on Monday 10 November, where we invited guests to an inspiring agenda of some of the most up to date news of our funded research.

Theme: Revolutionising Parkinson’s trial design with multi-arm, multi-stage (MAMS) trial platforms

The meeting focused on multi-arm, multi-stage (MAMS) clinical trial platforms, an approach that is revolutionising Parkinson’s research by testing multiple treatments at once against a single placebo (dummy drug) group, speeding the development of new therapies. Attendees heard presentations from two upcoming MAMS projects: EJS ACT-PD, a UK-based MAMS platform, and SLEIPNIR, a multi-arm clinical trial platform recently launched in Norway.

Agenda

Cure Parkinson’s Research Strategy – Dr Simon Stott

SLEIPNIR: A multi-arm platform for de-risking Parkinson’s treatments – Prof. Charalampos Tzoulis

Coming soon.

International MAMS Consortium: Coordinating Parkinson’s trials worldwide – Dr Chirine Katrib

EJS ACT-PD: how to get involved – Georgia Mills

Panel discussion: Participating In and Shaping Parkinson’s Research – Dr Kevin McFarthing, Michèle Bartlett
