Cure Parkinson’s Fundraising Heroes: November 2024
In November, three fundraising heroes embarked on a 300km cycling challenge, plus one supporter appeared on a popular ITV gameshow!
From Brussels to Luxembourg by bike
Supporter Nick, who was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s in 2022, wanted to take on a challenge to raise awareness of the condition and funds for Parkinson’s research, so cycled from Brussels to Luxembourg!
Nick was joined by two friends – Will and James – on the journey, with Will keeping Nick company by cycling and James driving the support vehicle. The trio travelled around 300km between the two European capitals, covering the distance in an impressive two-and-a-half days.
They also raised a staggering £12,200 (and counting) in support of our research – thank you, Nick, Will and James!

Meanwhile, supporter Craig (who also lives with Parkinson’s) featured on the latest series of iconic TV gameshow Deal or No Deal!
During the episode Craig spoke with host Stephen Mulhern about the impact his diagnosis has had on his life, as well as the work we do at Cure Parkinson’s and how he was hoping to donate a portion of his winnings to us.
