Following the success of our recent Sophie from Romania raffle, Rory has devised a brilliant new fundraising venture featuring his famous pooch to help support our work: a Sophie from Romania calendar!
This A5 calendar features 12 stunning photos of Sophie and can be purchased via Cure Parkinson’s online shop. Profits raised from the calendar sales will support our groundbreaking research, helping us search for new or repurpose existing treatments with the potential to slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s.
For those less familiar with Sophie’s background, she arrived at Rory’s home from her native Romania almost two years ago, in the lead up to Christmas 2022. She dived behind the sofa and spent most of her time there for the next seven months. Since then, Rory and his wife Diane, with help from behaviorist Si Wooler, have worked hard to help this anxious pup build up her trust and confidence. Rory has documented Sophie’s journey using the hashtag #SophieFromRomania, and Sophie has captivated audiences around the world. She even inspired Rory’s latest book, Sophie from Romania: A Year of Love and Hope with a Rescue Dog.
