Are you an early-career researcher passionate about Parkinson’s research? Want to understand how research gets funded — and help shape the future of Parkinson’s?

Cure Parkinson’s is offering a one-year voluntary internship for early-career researchers to join our Research Committee in 2026. This is your chance to sit alongside leading scientists, clinicians and people with Parkinson’s as they evaluate and assess research proposals for funding.

Applicants for these positions must be either a PhD student or in post-doctoral training based in the UK or Europe, working directly in either preclinical or clinical Parkinson’s research.

The internship will offer:

  • Hands on experience of the research grant review process
  • Mentorship with presenting applications
  • Networking with leading Parkinson’s experts
  • A deeper understanding of charitable funding and the Parkinson’s research funding landscape
