For the second year in a row, we’ve collaborated with our patron Rory Cellan-Jones to create a stunning 2026 calendar, featuring his beloved rescue dog Sophie!

We’re pleased to be once again selling a Sophie from Romania calendar, after the success of last year’s edition! Social media sensation Sophie once again stars in 12 beautiful photos in this A4 landscape calendar.

The calendar can be purchased via Cure Parkinson’s online shop. Profits raised from the calendar sales will support our groundbreaking research, helping us search for new or repurpose existing treatments with the potential to slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s.

Sophie’s story

Sophie arrived at the home of Rory Cellan-Jones and his wife Diane just before Christmas 2022 after
a three-day trip from her native Romania. The world’s shyest dog dived behind a sofa and spent most of
her time there for the next seven months. Thousands of people became intrigued by her story, following her every move on social media through the hashtag #SophieFromRomania.

With the help of a behaviourist Si Wooler, Rory and Diane have gradually won Sophie’s trust and built up her confidence. Rory has also documented Sophie’s journey in his book Sophie from Romania: A Year of Love and Hope with a Rescue Dog.
