October Walking Challenge 2025 raises over £88,000 for Cure Parkinson’s

Throughout October, our incredible supporters challenged themselves to walk 100km across the month to raise funds for Parkinson’s research.
Over the past three years, our virtual walking challenges have gathered new and existing supporters in October to fundraise for Cure Parkinson’s in the crisp autumn weather.
This past month was no different, and our supporters created their fundraising pages, received their limited edition challenge t-shirts, and set out with the goal to walk 100km throughout the month, or any distance that suited them.
Over 1,300 members joined the challenge Facebook group, where they shared updates about their progress, photos from their walks and personal reasons for taking part.
So far, 215 avid fundraisers have currently raised over £88,000 in support of our research – with donations still coming in. This is the largest amount raised from one of our Facebook challenges to date! Thank you so much to everyone who took part, donated and supported this challenge.
