Musician Yungblud announces live recording of ‘Changes’ from Back to the Beginning show to be released as charity single, with proceeds going to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Yungblud sang ‘Changes’ at Black Sabbath’s iconic show at Villa Park on Saturday 5 July, in front of a 40,000 strong crowd. The musician performed the track alongside Nuno Bettencourt, Sleep Token’s II, Frank Bello and Adam Wakeman, as part of a supergroup.

To raise even more funds for the three charity beneficiaries of the show (Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice), Yungblud has generously released the live recording as a charity single. You can stream the song here.

Yungblud making this gesture with his version of ‘Changes’ – on top of everything Ozzy, Sharon, Black Sabbath and the whole team have done – means the world to us. And will work wonders for Parkinson’s research, and our hunt for a cure. We are hugely grateful for such generosity”

Andy Simons, Cure Parkinson’s Director of Fundraising and Marketing

Back to the Beginning saw the original members of Black Sabbath – Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward – reunite for the first time in 20 years, to play in their hometown of Birmingham. For Ozzy, who lives with Parkinson’s, the show marked his final performance on stage.

We are hugely grateful to Yungblud for releasing this cover in support of the charities, as well as to Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne for letting us be part of such a momentous event and for helping support our mission to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.

Everything we do is to find new treatments to slow, stop or reverse the progression of Parkinson’s.
