Dr Anil Desai

Dr Anil Desai, MBBS, MPHIL, FRCS, is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon. He retired from practice in September 2023. While working for the NHS, he was the head of the Breast Service for the entire duration of his tenure and also held various managerial posts, including Clinical Director of Surgery, Divisional Director of Surgery, Associate Medical Director of R&D, and, most importantly, Quality Assurance Lead Surgeon for the NHS Breast Screening Programme for all of London. He is driven by a desire to contribute to the efforts to find a cure for Parkinson’s while helping decision-making in approving funding for research into disease-modifying and disease-limiting drugs for patients with Parkinson’s.
