Dr Tom Payne

Dr Tom Payne is a NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Neurology based at the University of Sheffield. His primary focus is the stratification of people with Parkinson’s by developing tools such as advanced MRI techniques, digital mobility outcome measures and biological sampling such as blood and skin biopsies to identify mitochondrial dysfunction within individuals with Parkinson’s. These tools will then facilitate improved clinical trial designs to move towards precision medicine approaches in the future.
