Line manager: Head of Public Fundraising
Location: Flexible working with time split between London office (3 days) and at home (2 days)

Salary: £32,000

At Cure Parkinson’s we have a simple and powerful mission. We want to find a cure. We have a clear plan to get there. We’re working urgently but it will take some time, and we need the right help.

The Senior Challenge Events Officer role sits within the charity’s Public Fundraising team, which as well as Challenge Events, also includes Community Fundraising, Special Events, Individual Giving, Legacies and In-Memory Fundraising.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in Cure Parkinson’s continued ambitious growth. Joining us at an exciting time for the charity, you would be part of a small but dynamic team with the opportunity to develop and make your own mark.

You’ll be responsible for creating opportunities for our amazing supporters to fundraise for our work through a range of third party and owned challenge events and provide outstanding supporter care to help them do that. You’ll get to lead on exciting, bucket-list events such as the London Marathon, as well as flexing your creative muscles to develop our series of Facebook Challenges and identifying new events to add to our ever-expanding portfolio.

This is a brilliant role for someone who is incredibly organised with meticulous attention to detail, and who also loves building relationships and making people feel great! Previous charity fundraising experience in challenge events or supporter care is ideal, but if you have a strong background in customer service or experience of organising events outside of the sector, with an added passion for and knowledge of sporting challenges, we’d love to hear from you too.

Ultimately, you will be contributing towards changing the future for people living with Parkinson’s across the world. If this excites you, we would love to hear from you. For more information on the role and how to apply, please download our job pack.
