Dr Caroline Williams-Gray

Dr Caroline Williams-Gray is a Principal Research Associate in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge, and an honorary consultant neurologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust and The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, Harlow. Her research focuses on defining the heterogeneity of Parkinson’s and associated cognitive impairment, and investigating the role of immune activation and inflammation in mediating this variability. She leads clinical trials of immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory drugs for PD, as well as experimental medicine studies investigating the role of Parkinson’s-related gut dysfunction in driving inflammation.
