Dr Dave Weiner

Dave Weiner is passionate about developing novel human therapeutics and creating, building, and managing nascent, early stage biotechnology companies. He is a physician scientist, trained as a neurologist and molecular pharmacologist, with broad experience in scientific, clinical and executive leadership roles at multiple biotechnology companies. He started his career in drug development nearly 30 years ago leading a molecular pharmacology/target validation research group, has subsequently overseen development of multiple IND/CTAs candidates, and has designed, conducted, and interpreted clinical trials across all stages of clinical development, with a particular emphasis on translational research through human proof of concept. He has worked on small molecules, antibodies, gene therapies, and protein-based therapeutics, focusing on neurological and rare diseases.
