At Cure Parkinson’s we have a simple and powerful mission. We want to find a cure. We have a clear plan to get there. We’re working urgently but it will take some time, and we need the right help.

The Community and Events Officer is a new role that will sit within the charity’s Public Fundraising team, which as well as Community and Events Fundraising, also includes Individual Giving, Legacies and In-Memory Fundraising.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in Cure Parkinson’s continued ambitious growth. Joining us at an exciting time for the charity, you would be part of a small but dynamic team with the opportunity to develop and make your own mark.

You will support the growth of our Community Fundraising, Events and Special Projects programme, working with our Community and Events Manager on the development and delivery of some of our most-loved and exciting events. You will be the first point of contact for our incredible community fundraisers, ensuring the best possible supporter experience, and helping to deliver annual net income growth in Community and Events fundraising. You will also lead on small projects of your own, as well as researching and recommending new events and products to add to our varied calendar.

This is a brilliant role for someone who is incredibly organised with meticulous attention to detail, and who also loves building relationships and making people feel great! Previous charity fundraising experience in community, challenge events or supporter care is ideal, but if you have a strong background in customer service or experience outside of the sector we’d love to hear from you too.

Ultimately, you will be contributing towards changing the future for people living with Parkinson’s across the world. If this excites you, we would love to hear from you. For more information on the role and how to apply, please download our job pack.
