On Sunday 26 April, 54 incredible runners completed the 26.2-mile race in support of Cure Parkinson’s.

The sun was out in full force for the 46th London Marathon, but despite the heat, each and every one of our determined runners crossed the finish line.

Team Cure was made up of 54 runners, including two living with Parkinson’s, Sarah Frow and Andrew McHendry. The team also included journalist and presenter Sophie Raworth and her daughter Ella.

In the lead-up to the race, some of our runners shared their stories in our #MarathonMonday series on our social channels, giving an insight into their motivations for running for the charity and sharing their training journeys.

The team has so fair raised a whopping £302,034 the most ever raised for Cure Parkinson’s at the London Marathon! We are extremely grateful to our runners. Thank you!

Talking about the day, one of our runners Eve Tranter said:

Sunday was truly one of the best days of my life and I just felt bursting with pride the whole time to be running for such an amazing charity.

We would like to thank LifesystemsMockingbird Raw PressHuel and Free Soul for kindly donating items for the runners’ goody bags.

We would also like to extend a big thank you to our venue partner Farzi Cafe, for hosting our post-marathon event, and to David at Kaizen Physiotherapy & Performance for supporting our runners. We would equally like to thank our other volunteer massuers: Petra Harsanyi, Ella Hart, Madison Besant, Emily Chan, Bamidele Oyewale, Anwar Chinnathambi and Charlotte Stone.
