We are delighted to be a beneficiary of Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning show, held on 5 July at Villa Park.

The farewell gig will see the original members of Black Sabbath – consisting of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – reunite for the first time in 20 years, to play in their hometown of Birmingham one last time. For Ozzy, who lives with Parkinson’s, the show will also mark his final performance on stage.

Ozzy and Black Sabbath will be supported by heavy metal icons including Metallica, Slayer, Pantera and many more, with profits from the show to be shared equally between the charities Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.

Cure Parkinson’s CEO, Helen Matthews, said: “We are thrilled at Cure Parkinson’s to be a beneficiary of this remarkable concert. The funds raised will make a huge difference in helping to support vital research into finding a cure for Parkinson’s – a cure that is so urgently needed.”

Tickets will go on sale on at 10am on 14 February at LiveNation.co.uk.

Everything we do is to find new treatments to slow, stop or reverse the progression of Parkinson’s.
