Music legends from the worlds of rock and folk came together to create an exclusive double album to help raise funds and awareness for Cure Parkinson’s, plus The Blue Water Giants will be releasing a new single in support.

Kindred Spirit teamed up with musicians including Leo Sayer, John Cooper Clarke, Richard Thompson and Hugh Cornwell to create ‘Think Loud 4 Parkinson’s’, an incredible, one-off cover album featuring a number of classic tracks.

The album was put together by music manager Ian Grant who was motivated to begin the project, alongside music producer Paul Mitchell, in response to his own experience with Parkinson’s.

The album has garnered support from musicians and celebrities too, including The Who’s Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, and actor Laura Dern.

The Blue Water Giants – Josh Philips (Procol Harum), Neil Taylor (Tears for Fears and Robbie Williams), and Mel Gaynor (Simple Minds) – who supported on Think Loud, have also announced that they will be releasing their new single Dangerously in Love on 29 April in aid of Cure Parkinson’s.

Speaking about ‘Think Loud 4 Parkinson’s’, Ian Grant said:

I was determined to put this project together. To encourage people to think loud about an issue of vital importance. It hasn’t been an easy journey but the contribution and help I’ve received from the talented people involved has kept this alive. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together and Cure Parkinson’s have been unwavering in their support.

Like Ian, for many of the musicians involved Parkinson’s is a cause close to their hearts, so the talented team hopes to amplify awareness, drive funding, and rally voices in the fight against Parkinson’s with their limited edition album.

Helen Matthews, CEO of Cure Parkinson’s, said:

Think Loud is so much more than music: it is a movement of musicians and influential faces in the music world, politicians, actors, all raising their voices for Parkinson’s. Think Loud is the brain child of producer Ian Grant, who has led the formation of the album, new singles, and tributes of support whilst living with Parkinson’s. Ian and his partner Paul Mitchell have worked tirelessly to make this project the success it is and Cure Parkinson’s is incredibly grateful for the resulting profile and fundraising generated.

‘Think Loud 4 Parkinson’s’ was released on limited edition vinyl and CD in February 2025 and is available to order as a bundle now! All profits from this album will help Cure Parkinson’s fund their vital research into Parkinson’s.
